i got my bent drag link in the mail today, looks awsome, super beefy. one problem though - i cant get the TRE's to thread into the ends. maybe im looking up the wrong part number, i went to the parts store and asked for drag link ends for a 1986 1 ton chevy truck and they dont fit. does any one have the correct part number or did ORD not tap mine the right way? i though 1 ton TRE's (7/8-18) was the standard unless you ask for somting else? this is on and ORD bent drag link and its too late to call ORD and i really need to get my shit rolling so i can go to devils playground

ES2233L Tie Rod End ($19.99/ea from AutoZone)
ES2234R Tie Rod End ($29.99/ea from AutoZone)
ES2027L Tie Rod End ($17.99/ea from AutoZone)
ES2026R Tie Rod End ($24.99/ea from AutoZone)

are the different 1 ron TRE's used on GM's

well i got some...but the drivers side is a lot longer than the passenger side. beacuse of this my drag link is way too long. either ORD f'ed up and made it the wrong legnth or there is another shorter TRE im supposed to use. either way, i doubt im going to make it to devils playground on saturday

+1 on trevor at WFO, cool guy,

do you have jam nuts for the TRE's? if so couldn't you just run them up and then trim the TRE's to the desired length???then run the jam nuts back down to chase the threads

the part numbers mentioned above are what i used.

good luck with it and hope to see you sat.

Try these...ES2010L, ES2010R.

1 Ton Dodge truck app.. 7/8-18 they are not long ends they are short. Maybe 4" in length. I have these on my truck with crossover, one set on the draglink and one set on the tie rod. I know many others that run these on their K trucks too. BUT mine were about 40 bucks a piece. Not cheap.
Hope this helps

okay, i think the dodge ends will work, i talked to ORD today and they said they have some custom made short rod end, and that dodge ends "might work". either way, im not going to bring the truck to devils playground tomorrow, there is way to much to do on it. ill drive the corolla and watch, maybe ride with someone if they will let me

Yeah I think Stephen at ORD uses the dodge style. Looking at what he wants for them $$ I would say so. Many have asked but he wont tell what he uses, but everyone seems to think its the dodge style. The pics on his website are identical to the dodge in my opinion. I ordered mine online and got free shipping too from autopartsgiant.com. Check em out.

tre

I have one of the short tre that I have left over from my ord drag link. You can have it if you want it. I'm pretty sure it has the right hand threads. I'm in clayton and will be in raleigh tomorrow working.
