what is the difference in the 10 bolt front vs dana 44 front and which one is stronger and are the shafts and hubs interchangable

They are about the same strenth wise. Every thing from the knuckle out is interchangable. Inner shafts are different spline.

X2 on what Jim said... their is negligible strength difference between the 2 esp if you get the 30 spline 10b, but the dana 44 has a lot more parts & aftermarket available...

just about anything you can get for a 44 you can get for a 10b. the 10b is cheaper in a lot of ways as well
