i have a 87 k5 lifted with 35 in. mud rovers and 6 lug ten bolts front and rear. im woundering if i should go through the hassle of upgrading to a 8 lug ff14 bolt in the rear which i still have to find or just rebuild my 10 bolts with better gearing and lockers. i only wheel about once a month or so and i only really hit mud holes no rocks around here in charleston. i still have the original 350 and its a lil tired anyway so not a tourque monster. what ya think?

Find axles from a 3/4 ton chevy - they'll bolt right in, minus the rear yoke. You'll need a conversion u-joint or new ears on the axle end of the driveshaft. Your 10 bolts should hold up to 35s for a while with a tired 350 and in mud, but its always reassuring to have a stronger drivetrain in situations where you wouldn't want to break.
