definitely interesting.
I wonder if there is any concern for pollution from the break down of the rubber and leaching into ground water...but even then Im not sure its worse that just water permeating through blacktop
 
Wonder what the long term permeability of it is. Can’t imagine very long with the amount of road grim and sediment that is on the roads
 
There are products like "drivegrid" and "core gravel" out there already doing similar things just far easier, basically honeycomb roll out mats. I imagine this kind of thing getting cheaper, easier and used far more in the future.
 
Saw a video the other day, somewhere overseas, India or wherever. Mixed the tar with recycled Plastic. Paved something like a 2 lane city road, for a mile. Been tested for some time, & no problems yet. Might be a solution to the Plastic problem.
