anybody have a short section laying around ?

need just under 2 foot of it. don't want to buy a whole section ( which would cost more than what I'm trying to repair in total ) though the repaired part should outlast the original.

don't care what it looks like as long as it's solid and round. the wheels on my daughters Green Machine have split,

10" PVC is just about perfect to slide over and become new drift tires for it.

I will give you call in a bit

Thanks

And Mommucked has come thru, a few attempts to cross paths ended in a treasure hunt this evening.

Will take some mild persuading and adhesive but she'll be in spin city over the weekend

Thanks Randy !

OK so I'm missing something here.
You have tires that are slick and bald
and covering them w/ something that is even more slick and bald?

NO, we have tires that are cracked and split, and worn out, and are covering them with something more substantial and more slick for and even more awesome spin.
( dude is a little big, but you get the idea )
Did you never have a Green Machine when you were a kid ? the whole point is to spin and slide

haven't got the bearings yet, but thats next.

... Never heard of it.

I'm glad you found the Bandags, please chamfer the crappy, sharp factory edges of the tread before or after applying the retread to the old tire for safety and more drifting FUN.

Big wheels were after my time. Summer of '69....woodstock, man on the moon, vietnam....and I was the most badass kid on the block when I got my Murray Eliminator.

Green Machines originally came out when I was 12yo or so, so I was too old for those, I rocked the original Bigwheel though, and my Lil sis had the Bigwheel with the brake and saddle bag. the kids down the street from us had the Green Machines, being older, we used them as obstacles to jump our bikes over, crashed and burned the first time, decided after a buddy broke his arm at the elbow it probably wasn't the smartest thing to try again.....( he cleared 3 before the endo )

When I saw Green Machines were out again, of course I had to get one for my daughter..... after her first spin, it was totally worth it ! " Dad, Thats COOL !! " the rear tire lasted about 6 weeks before cracking/splitting, and oddly enough, I haven't been able to find replacements. but did find the hacks

When I first read it, I thought you were looking for steel pipe! I can definitely get my hands on that, but I don't think it would quite work for what you want! :D
