nope not dope. It was 10 years ago today i got into my 78 cj7 leaving work for the last time. I was rear ended on i26 running over 65mph. We barrel rolled and got thrown. By the time i was loaded in the helicopter, the man riding with me had passed away. So heres to Greg. Youre not forgotten. Wish i could have reacted quicker.

He was a good dude. 27 yrs old. Had been married 6 months and had been asking that week about going to church with us. The kinda guy who had your back. Cant do anything now but remember. I thank God ive been here the last several years to take care of my wife and to see 5 grandkids born. I hit the ground not 10 ft from where he landed on the concrete. Cant explain life just tell yall to appreciate it. had to screen shot an old picture but heres my favorite jeep ever, my first

Sorry for your losses. Life doesn't always make sense, but props to you for keeping your chin up.

thanks guys. It hit me harder this year than it has in a long time. We were heading home on friday not a care. Traffic running 70. We tapped our brakes and kept rolling. I checked my mirror and saw him coming. He had to be running 80+. I tried to turn the wheel into the median as he hit us. it was like a shovel to the head. As the jeep went side ways the 33s grabbbed and started the roll. I remember my head lying on the console for a second before being slammed to the ground. I ended up closing my eyes for debris hitting them. I came to rest against the guardrail and opened my eyes only to see my jeep upside down over me sliding down the rail. I jumped up an ran from it. I stumbled around in a fog til someone grabbed me. i remember people working with Greg and me yelling for him to hold on. by the time mama landed, they told me he was gone. I heard a story weeks later of a trooper at a luncheon speaking on highway safety. He told the story of a jeep wreck and how the driver had done everything to avoid it. It has been some comfort overthe years but a good man is still gone. Again i thank everyone for the thoughts.
