what are some of you more experienced guys opinion on mounting a 35 12.50 on a 15x6 rim? bad idea? its a DD, weekend warrior

I'd say biggest problem will be the backspacing that comes with a 6" rim, will probably rub the crap out of things on the inside. othewise, its not ideal, but I have done 12.50's on 7's with spacers and no real problems. Definately helps keep the bead seated at low pressures, thats for sure....

Also, I got a set of 15x8 aluminum sawblade style wheels, would let go for $100, if its a Yota, or 6 on 5.5

Not only is it unsafe but will cause the center of the tire to bow out and wear prematurely. That tire should be mounted on an 8" rim.

I've had good luck with narrow rims in wide tires. Best way to run low psi on the cheap. Ran 33x12.5 tsls on 6-8 psi with no problems back in the day.

thanks for the replies guys. i got some factory steelies im really wantin to run.

Gubni, how would you consider it to be unsafe?

ive seen lots of guys runnin 15.50s on 8in wide wheels, so i dont see what woudl be the difference

and yea the BS is 4.25in, so im gonna run spacers

thanks rockscruiser but i already have a set of 15x8s mounted on them, but i really wana run these wheels

Most Super Swampers have way stiffer sidewalls for running well w low pressures. Some AT 33s will sag alot or will pop off if you run them at low pressures on unspecified rim widths, just sayin. I would not run them on a daily driver unless the rim is correct. 33 10.50s would be better, but I would get 8"s for both. They will look funny too on the 6" wheels.
