12v value?

Looking at buying a vehicle from a buddy, it has a low mileage (120k) 12v in it....not much else value in it that I see aside from possibly the differential and scrap. Was wondering what the current street value is on a decent 12v these days. I see lots of people asking $3k+ for 200k mile motors....but what do they actually sell for?

From what I see locally it depends on what it is. When I was trying to buy one several years ago I saw a range of prices, lowest being an industrial or school bus engine and the highest being an intercooled P-pump engine from a Dodge truck.

I ended up getting a rusted out Dodge and pulling what I wanted and sending the rest down the road.

Depends how fast you want to sell it and if it is a ve pump or p pump. What year model truck is it in?
