14 Bolt FF Availability

I've got a 78 Chevy 4x4 and Im looking to upgrade from a 12 bolt rear to a 14FF. Not knowing the first thing about this field.....is it easy to find what I am looking for? On the internet I found a few 14 bolts but it says nothing in regards to a SF or FF but it lists the gearing.....is there a certain gearing to keep an eye out for as well or will it matter? Also what kind of price am I looking at to have the swap done with all needed upgrades?

Pirate4x4.com find the 14 bolt bible. The FF is somewhat easy to find in a junkyard, and usually less than 300 bucks for everything you need. Somewhat simple, but only comes in 8-lug, thus my problem, I can't afford rims.
