Has anybody heard of a 6 lug 14 bolt rear-end? I just found one on the back of a friends work truck. I think its an 89 2500 2wd. I thought that there were only 8 lug 14's. Anybody know if this is full or semi floating? Or do I need more info. I want to know cause the motor just blew up and he's gonna take it to the junkyard soon.

Yes, it is a semi float. Also, if I am not mistaken, it is also a C-Clip type axle

Semi-float, 32(?) spline, c-clip. decent axle.

They are a good upgrade from the 10 bolt but they still dont have the beef that a 14 ff has. They are defenitly nice though. Also you get to stay 6 lug so that nice.
