It's almost that time of year. Mark your calendar and come out to enjoy a weekend full of comradery, family fun, and supporting our nation’s heroes.

Is the leader of this even here? Have some questions - still shaking out the bugs from my build (77 Bronco).

Friendly to untested rigs?
Dividing by difficulty?
which trail radio for comms?

Thanks!
I'm definitely not one of the official chaos coordinators. Looking at you @Mulishajoe
@tobaccoroad4wd @Mrxdieselx

Gah, the 1st is the hardest to answer. I'm very much a "run what you brung" type. But also, a shakedown run prior to is always recommended if it's do-able. Worst case, you break & are forced to hang out with me & the crew or hop in with someone else!

Rides are split by difficulty & we try our best to keep the groups small. @Keith1138 is our trail guide wrangler & usually has more info on the splits.

For comms, most have switched to GMRS but we still have love for CBs.

We'd love to have you join us! If you're looking for a shakedown run prior to that weekend, there's plenty of riffraff that would be happy to meet up!

I am, Uwharrie is a great place fore a shakedown. One of the obstacles is if your rig is tagged or not. Both are welcome of course, non tagged rigs do have to trailer to a trail head but all our guides know how to stay on trail for this reason.

I usually arrive early in the week to get things going before the event, so if you want to do a shakedown we can definitely help with that. This is a family friendly event where everyone comes out to support our nations heroes and most are more than willing to help with on trail needs. If you have further questions please feel free to email PVA4X4@GMAIL.COM.

Thank you and we hope to see you there.

I’ve got 3 rides on the books between now and then so hopefully the buggy stays together. Just put some vacation in at work to make the day trip up on Saturday. Curious to see what @frankenyoter brings to eat and get some updates on the Yota.
