17in Weld on Beadlock Base Wheel

I ordered some 17x9 steel wheels for some 37s not thinking about adding Beadlock rings. If i do Beadlock them they will be 9.75in wide.. would it be better to start with 8s or enjoy the wider contact patch of the wider rims?

I had 35 mt/rks on 15x10 eaton Beadlocks and regular 8s previously, each had its pluses and minuses.

What are some other opinions?

9s were backordered into next year so I picked up some 8s that were in stock. Problem solved.

TMI beadlocks on the way as well.
