I like history related stuff,esp WWII era and I was raised on a farm so I tend to gravitate toward that kinda stuff.This is an article that was in this past weeks paper here in Greeneville.Back in the day the Austin's were THE tobacco folks here.Its my understanding they had a big say in what happened in this county.In the 1940's Tom Austin traded $1800 worth of Tobacco for Hitlers Mercedes.I never saw the car since it was long gone by the time I was born but I have heard about it before and saw parade pics of it.Kinda long and sorta hard to follow but still an interesting read.
