Looking for a local to (lincolnton) gunsmith that can install high ride beaver tail & re blue after the frame mod.

Found a place. Hyatt Guns Talked to them & I'll be giving them a shot.

Larry Hyatt has been around FOREVER.
Their gunsmith work I have no experience with. I just know they can get anything you want, as long as you are prepared to pay their standard double

I was quoted around $200 to install the beaver tail, this includes modifying the frame. And re bluing the gun, However I my have them cerakote it instead. At this point, I am not really concerned about the coin. I am finishing the build my father started. I'm just not knowledgeable enough on the 1911 to mod the frame & blue it.

It's the sentimental value.

And the fricken squared off G.I. style grip safety ate my up after 100 rounds.
