I was given a 1948 CJ-2A in October 2009. Basically I got a driveline and a title. Everything else has to be replaced and I mean everything. This is going to be a long long project andd will probably go on for several years. I would like to keep a running thread of what I am doing as much for me to look back on as anything else.

So far I have a frame and I amm in the process of stripping and repainting it. Once I manage to get most of the surface rust off I will rust proof it as best i can and paint it.

Frame in the foreground and the POS Jeep is behind it.

grill, hood, fenderrs, and windshield frame have been removed. Going to get the new frame rolloing before I touch the motor.

My plans are to build it back as close to original as I can.

Right now I am looking at getting the new frame onto wheels so I can move it around easier. Once I get this done I will start running all the new brake lines, fuel lines, and electrical that attach to the frame. Then I will start on locating a body and restoring it and lastly I wil do the motor. Doesn't sound like much but it will be a long process.

First few things to do
Getting fame cleaned and painted
new suspension
rebuilding the front axle
rebuilding the rear axle
