My dad has a 1966 GMC step side. It was a wood cutting driver until about 10 years ago. It is not pretty and will never be show truck but he would like to get it running and driving again. It has some motor problems, it drains a battery in no time, and hard to crank. Body is rusting in some spots. I really want someone to give it a look see and see what is critical to get it on the road safely. My dad doesn't have a whole lot of disposal income (he is 74 and on a tight budget) but I know he wants to get it on the road again. So my question is, who near Winston Salem would treat him fairly and tell him what needs to be done to his old truck? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 305 v6 if you need an engine

Good friend of mine runs a shop out of his garage at home. Name is Danny (336) 462-1025. He is in walkertown. He will do your dad right. Tell him Matt Mitchell sent you.
