Since I bought this truck I had all intentions on buying a pull behind camper or slide-in. Well, I found a nice slide-in yesterday. With the deal done I loaded it up and scooted down the road.
It's a 1966 Open Road from Redondo Beach, California. It is really cool with some neat accessories. It has a propane gas light inside, an intercom between the cab and camper, a stove that's never been used, shower/toilet/sink. I also have the original keys and literature and miscellaneous items dating back to '66.
It needs a few structural things addressed and the roof needs sealed. Other than that I am pretty excited. This will be a long term project that I will continue to update as I progress.
Just to let you guys know, the Cadillac engine moves this 2000lb bohemoth down the road effortlessly.
