hey guys i got a 71 240 my step mom left me when she passed. she was the second owner of the car. she had it while she was in school. now it is sittin in my barn down in ga and i was wondering if anyone new anything about these things that could maybe help me out with it? or new a good garage that i could trust taking the car to. it has been sitting for almost 8 years covered waiting for me to go get it and bring it here to nc. i really like the car its in great condition needs very little work to get back to showroom quality. i just don't know anything about these cars and could use some help. thanks for the help Drew

I love Z cars. I had one as a first car. I'd look for a local zCar club. That would be your best resource.

I've built lots of them. The last one I built had a stroker motor, triple webers, and put down about 300hp at the flywheel. Just give me a shout if you want to know anything. They are sweet little cars even in stock form.

The frame rail below the battery is the most common, looks like a hole in the inner fender down low when they are totaly shot...there isn't a good fix for this problem either.

thanks guys for the info. im not sure if i want to build it or keep it stock and do the car show thing. i know it will hall ass either way or maybe sell it im lookin to buy a house and from what i herd they got some value to them.
