Anybody out there ever heard of a toyota wolverine. I know that toyota didnt make a 4 wheel drive untill 1979. From what ive learned a corporation bought so many toyota trucks from toyota corp and converted them to 4 wheel drive with a american jeep transfer case and front axel. I happened on one the other day. Any more info would be greatly appreciated. Oh yea this toyota is 5 lug. cool huh

I HAD A 78 4WD TOYOTA, IDK WHAT T-CASE BUT IT HAD A DANA 30 FRONT AXLE, 6 LUG TO 5 LUG ADAPTORS ON THE BACK AND THE LOCK OUTS SAID DIVERSIFIED FOUR WHEEL DRIVE ON THEM. THE DID LIKE THE 77 AND 78 TRUCK FOR YOTA OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. THATS WHY I SOLD IT. TO ODD BALL FOR PARTS AND THE FRAME WAS BROKE TO HELL AT THE STEERING BOX

o yea it even had a crazy looking cast aluminum oil pan. said diversified 4wd on it to. took me a long time to find out what i had. that was back in like 2001.

I ran across an old Datsun 620 in a yard a long time ago that had a clean solid axle swap with a Dana 30 and an advanced adapters divorced adapter for a Dana 20. I had read about trucks in the 70's being done that way but that was the only one I have ever seen. Still kicking myself for not snagging that adapter before it went to the crusher.
