Im working on a 1982 toyota 22r im not getting spark and I tested the voltage coming to the ignition coil and it is 12v with the ignition on and when I turn the ignition it drops voltage to 0 I dont why any input would help.
It's probably the ignitor. (The silver box under the coil.) It's basically an ignition module. Hit up the wanted to buy section and post there. New ones are pretty expensive but used ones aren't too bad. Seems to be the only thing that goes wrong with a Toyota ignition system that era.
