Hey all,
I have a 1984 toyota 4x4 with a 22R in it. The truck cranks and idles great, has plenty of power but once it is warmed up and I start driving it has a tendancy to cut off. You push the clutch in to stop and let the RPM's drop back to idle and it cuts off...every time, whether I am on the brakes or not. It acts like it just doesn't catch itself. The idle sounds about where it should be, maybe even a touch high. It will crank right back up no problem. I have checked for vacuum leaks and found none. Any ideas on what it could be?

Thanks for your help!

Sounds like to me the idle circuit in the carb is clogged. On warmup it's dumping extra fuel and once warm jsut the idle circuit takes over. Might be time for a carb rebuild. Or just pull the air cleaner off and spray come carb cleaner in there to clean it out a bit. I'd try that first, but it's probably time for a rebuilt carb.
