ok, I got this truck in a "Triangle trade". I traded a stock reconstructed title 92 toyota 4x4 22re 5speed short bed truck with a rotted fuel system to one of my buddies. He traded a 90's Nissan 4x4 ext cab v6 5speed to one of my other friends, then that friend gave me this 84 or 85 truck and the motor was in the bed all taken apart.

It needed a bunch of things done to it, rear axle was blown steering box was sloppy, had a "Autostore special" left kit on it.

after further inspection I noticed it was once flipped or wrecked and had a 2wd cab and bed put on it.

so, I ripped the truck apart and put it on jack stands.

since I am keeping the body lift on the truck and leaving a factory fuel tank on it for now I went with the bigger fuel tank from a long bed truck.

I had just put a rebuilt 20R in this truck a month or so ago and it went a whole 14miles before it had a rod bolt failure and slung a rod.

I have a rebuilt running 22r from a 87 2wd that I am going to reseal and toss in until I build a 22r/20r hybrid.
