Any suggestions on a quieter exhaust for my Jeep.....it has a 360 in it and the Cherry Bomb Side Pipes are just too damn loud for the wife....have to agree a bit...but our 7 year old loves it. I'm going to take it to a local shop here in Raleigh called Henrys later this week to see what can be done....but I'm looking for a nice low rumble, not a stock car. I started it last night in the garage and I was told the dishes started shaking in the cabinets.

Set of flowmasters(or other comparable muffler) and run it out the back will quiet it down.

Henry's is a great shop, but call ahead and make an appointment, they stay really busy these days!

I put a stock type turbo muffler on my 4.0 and it is quiet enough, but still has good sound.

+1 for Henry's. they like magnaflows better than flowmaster at Henry's. We've had them do full custom exhausts on a bunch of our customers cars and trucks. Quality work.

Josh, is there a specific location you would recommend (Capital Blvd, Atlantic Ave, etc) or with something like this it doesn't matter, Henrys has the reputation and they are all the same, just pick whatever is closest to the house, which is Capital Blvd I believe

I always went to the one on Capital, but they are both good from what I understand. I haven't had them personally do work for me in a while.

Thanks to all that replied, decided to go with some new Shorty Summitt Racing Headers and a Flowmaster 50 Exhaust. Not sure the old Headers and Cherry Bombs are worth trying to sell all together but maybe I will throw them up here or on Craigslist.

There is a Henry's in Wilson too, all owned by Henry, and all three run by managers. The best IMHO is the one near Atlantic as Henry's mom works the desk. Donald is the manager. Less money, quicker work, and better quality than anybody else by far.

Personally, I think the Cherry Bombs will attract a new wife... ;-)

Enjoy your headers - they'll make better sound with almost any muffler. Had a Thorley on the YJ for years until it finally gave up. The Magnaflow helps, but I miss that sound.

Sorry for the late reply. Millbrook rd or lacy rd is the one we use. Also keep in mind if you want to section the exhaust. Ask them to install a couple of clamp fittings in, so you can drop the exhaust to change the clutch or something. Well worth the extra 40 bucks not having to frig with the headers.
