So what I thought would be an easy find is proving not to be. I have some fuel trickling out of a vapor line above the tank. I have checked, checked, and double checked all the lines. Seems to only happen on hot days like today and the jeep is taking it in the rear from direct son in the garage. Once I was aware of the trickle I unscrewed the gas cap and a good bit of vapor/air was heard/released. I can only assume that on super hot days, the sun is beating the rear at the tank, gas is expanding, and pushing the fuel out of the vapor line. It doesn't happen all the time, only when the garage is left open and the sun is hitting the rear....but I have since turned it around to get the tank out of the sun. Anyone out there have any luck finding a vented gas cap for this year/model CJ? I went online and checked Summing, Quadratec, Morris, and a couple others with no luck. Thought about just drilling a couple of small holes in what I have already to let the vapor build up out, but that's probably not a good idea.

One I bought several years ago, was from Autozone. My original cap would leak on hills. The new one doesn't. Then recently I've had the expansion problem, so I Slightly loosened the vented part. Then it started leaking on hills. I've since tightened it & just do fill the tank to the top.
