Grabbing up a 84 k10 truck in a few days. Truck was a runner and stiver less than a year ago before my neighbor decided to "disassemble" for restoration. I have no intentions of a frame off with this truck. It will get put back together, driven and worked on in all of my "spare time". Basically the wife and daughter want a goin to town truck so my goal is for it to be a pretty 50 footer. Ill have a million questions about dash reassembly as I'm not the one to took it apart. The truck has only a few pinholes in 1 rocker. Corners are solid.

Do any rust repair needed and paint the interior before you reassemble. Nothing professional, just a basic going over. That way you don't have to take the interior apart again in the future.
That is the plan. Mechanical and interior first.

Luckily there are a number of companies that offer parts for these trucks. I would likely plan on buying alteast one bolt kit. Most people dont bag and tag the bolts good enough to know where they go on reassembly.

Anyone have full wire diagrams for this thing?

My very first issue is to change out the mechanical fuel pump. Oil pan has about 2 gallons of gas in it. 2nd is obviously an oil change. After that I need to reinstall all the dash junk, steering column and inside things. Once the pedals and ignition are operational again I will attempt to fire it off.

Its a tote of random bolts. A bolt kit will save a lot of time. I don't like putting things back together that someone else took apart but my wife has big plans for this truck so I guess it stays. I'm very much a jeep guy but I should know my fair share about these chevys when its done.

Small spots on the inside at the front corners of the doors where the side meets the floor pan. I'm not a body man but this should be a good place to learn to do patches.

It's ok you still but ducks on the dash! Just joking keep on posting some people like me with no project at the moment just come here to feel like I do.

Hopefully mine will serve as some reference, as I plan to put a proper 86 dash pad on it. And change out the cluster

CJs don't get ducks. Ill post up somewhat ordinary things from time to time if only to entertain myself. I can't promise a lot of tech as I'm just learning everything but the drivetrain.
