I'm looking at the OME setup on rocky road to get just a bit more clearance (2"). I just moved up to 33" and did a body seal/fender/torsion bar mod, but I'm not happy with the clearance under extreme flex.

There are a few things that aren't clear to me.

  1. If I go with the rocky road setup, should I still get BJ spacers?
  2. Would I want the HD shocks, or medium shocks? (I like to crawl at uwharrie, but I'm not looking to do the hard side of daniel any time soon... I also tow a trailer for kayaks, and a sunfish sailboat, that's about it)
  3. Would I be better off piecing the parts together over getting a kit such as this?

I went ahead and ordered the HD 2" suspension lift from Rocky Road. I guess my only remaining questions are:

  1. BJ Spacers needed?
  2. What, if anything, am I going to need to do to handle the additional height?

BJ spacers won't hurt, they'll slow you to lax the torsion bar some so it doesn't ride so rough. I'd ditch the front sway bar because is useless and just takes up space. As far as piecing together a kit I'd just recommend an SAS lol.

TBH, I considered the SAS... it's a long-term plan. I'm staging the mods, and it's not something I want to do yet, but have every plan to do in the next year or so.

BJ spacers or a small body lift. I am running 35s with only 2" BL. I stuff just fine with a hammer job to the pinch weld in the front fenders.
