I bought a 1986 F700, and it needs a drivers side window/door handle/door/liner/window crank/etc, so I figure it would be easier to just replace the whole door with a complete one. Truck is white, so that will make matching it even easier, since the white Ford truck is the most abundant vehicle in the entire world. My question is: Do the larger Ford trucks use the same doors as the smaller ones? I should have no trouble finding an F150/250/350 door from that generation in a junkyard.

Probably have to reinforce the light duty doors where the big mirrors bolt on. Other than that, they should be the same.

What are your plans for the truck?I have been looking at buying on myself.Hope you do a build thread.
Doubt there will be a build thread, haha. Its a big heavy bucket truck with a chipper dump. Weighs 21,060lbs, is slow, top heavy, and would probably get stuck in wet grass on level ground.

I have an entire 86 F150 4x4 complete without a title I'd let go for $400 but it's green. Figured you could sell the NP435, ford 9" and bed and scrap the rest and come out ahead after painting the door to exact match.

Just thought I'd throw that out there. I haven't dug it out of the weeds yet to take pics and to advertise but it won't be long.

Although a common color, there's a million shades of white.

Not too worried about it matching. Its a pretty rough looking truck. Thanks for the offer on the F150, that would definitely be the way to go if I had time to mess with parting it.

Dang, what are you going to do with that truck? Fix it up and flip it?

A friend had a bunch of trees to trim at his dad's farm, my parents have a few that need some work, and I'm sure I'll find some things to do at the house with it. By the time I rented a lift for a couple weeks, it was gonna be at least $1500, so I figure I can buy the truck, use it, and hopefully sell it for what I have in it ( or more :D).

I know I will get flamed but i would love to have a F700 crew cab with a dually bed and 2.5 rockwells.I keep looking for a F700 on craigslist all ready have everything to build one.
