So I am in need of some clarification. ALL of the research I have done says that with the exception of the spring perches and shock mounts, a 14 bolt ff should go in my 1/2 ton. With that said. The 14 bolt I bought has an offset pinion and I was wondering about this. It is offset by two inches. Is this a problem for drive shaft alignment? It is out of a 1999 GMC. Going into a 1987 silverado.

If there is an offset its not enough to matter and I'm pretty sure it will bolt up. You will need a conversion joint or upgrade to a one ton driveshaft.

If it is from a 99 the spring mounts on the axle is in a different location and u will need to weld on new mounts other then that just get a bastard joint for d-shaft and roll with it
