1988 ford f150 temp gauge , oil pressure gauge

My step son has a 1988 f150 with 5.0
fuel gauge does not work, Bad sending unit i think
oil and temp gauge don't work , do you think it could be both oil and temp sensors went bad ?
oil gauge always reads 1/4 past low , when unplugged it drops past low.
temp gauge never moves with truck running or off

Unhook the fuel pump connector and short the sender terminals. The oil pressure gauge is fake. It's an on/off switch.

I wouldn't rule out a bad ground, though. It wouldn't take much to make the gauges inaccurate, if not nonfunctional.
