1988 manche

about 2 months ago I bought a 1988 Jeep Comanche 4 x 4 long bed.

the metric ton package pretty beat up but pretty clean unmolested and bone stock

301 k on odometer
Dana 30 front axle with a Dana 44 rear axle with 3.07 gears

had a bench seat no air no power windows or locks no radio

motor was a junkyard Swappa 68,000 miles runs like a f****** champ

Ba10 5-speed transmission NP 231 J transfer case

I ordered a rough country 6&a half inch lift kit combined XJ front long arms spring over the rear shackles in the rear extended stainless steel brake lines transfer case skid plate quick disconnect sway bar links adjustable Johnny joint and heim joint style track bar and they're higher line shocks ( I know it doesn't mean much )

A week later after driving like a cholo my neighbor and his dad help me put the rear end together and welded up.

I also cut the doors so they're quick pin so I can slide them or on , which was very easy since I have no speakers n roll up windows in manual locks

Put rock lights under the bed and in front of the front axle , in the process of putting bed liner in the bed and fixing a few dings first

nice jeep man. done nothing but xjs but like the Comanche's just as much. would any of your jeep club guys be interested in trading their disconnect 30 with 3.55 gears for my non disco 30 and if so, hit me up. most people don't like the discos but I love em.....cheap free Lincoln locker with cable..lol. also if you guys ever need XJ/Jeep parts feel free to ask, got all kinds of engine parts and usually drivetrain parts layin around. this is my latest XJ. hell of a way to use 2 trampoline frames instead of scrap and a lot more durable than you would think. not quite "roll" worthy but enough to protect the body from major stuff.
