Well lets see after looking around for the past two weeks for something just for off road use...I finally got a deal I couldn't refuse. It's a 1988 jeep cherokee laredo out side is in decent shape and the inside is a little worse lol. Who cares anyways its not for comfort except the drivers seat. The only problem with this is I need to replace the fuel pump. How can I complain I traded my AK-47 that I don't use for it so now I have the money that I was going to dump into a beater to fix this up and start making it look good.:bounce2: I need to get this towed on to base to start working on it...If anybody wants to offer a hand I'll throw 50 bucks and a case of beer into it:beer: Here's some pics of where its at right now. I just went over there tonight to pick up the title and fill the two flat tires with air.

I want to rip out all the carpeting, replace the fuel pump and filter, cut the fenders, put a 3-4'' lift on it, pull out the few dents here and there, paint it primer black or tan, get a good set of off road tires, and from there idk lol

shoot id gave you my xj for a ak47 and 200 bucks and it comes with lift and new inside :)

ok I started working on the jeep today got put a new fuel filter in and then it was onto the new fuel pump. That was a blast took all day and night for me to get it in learned a few things along the way. Now I got it running it smoked a little bit but hopefully thats because it was sitting so long. Now on to the new step...

Congratulations on the new jeep. I changed my pump Thursday but it only took about 20 minutes...Ive got the quick change mounting option going on

Yeah I didn't drop the tank since the pump is on the side of the tank but what took me the longest was getting it to sit just right while I was trying to get that inner ring locked in. I finally got it locked in a gave it two try's before for the pump got going and it started right up!

Sweet...I start with one problem and then its on to another. I'm working on it in the barracks parking lot and I've had seen guys pull there engines, trannys, diffs, any thing you can think of I've seen guys do it in the parking lot no problem...I've had it in the parking lot for five days now I go and give it a fast oil change then get bitched out for doing it in the parking lot. The story never ends. Now time to find a place to work on my jeep in peace...anybody have any good ideas? I'm in fayetteville...Thanks!

Find somebody at your command who has a garage and likes wheeling and get them to let you keep it there/ help you wrench on it.

Well I've been working on my jeep a little bit. It was running rough found out a few of the fuel injectors were leaking. I removed them and cleaned them up and slapped a new set of O-rings on them and now the jeep is running smooth. I picked up a 3'' lift from NC919.4x4_XJ plus day star shackles. I just need to get two rear RC shocks. I'm going to try and get it to the work shop on base this weekend to put the lift on if I can get a set of RC shocks from one of the 4x4 shops off base. After I get all that done then its on too the inside of the jeep.
