This is my new project.
I know that there are some other guys here doing simular things so I thought I would post up mine as well.
I got this 89 MJ and I am going to transplant everything over from a 98-01 XJ. My plan is to make this look totaly Stock Just like it rolled off the assembly line in 2001
I currently have my eye on a 01 XJ for the donor.
The MJ has a good frame and Cab and that is about it.
I will start Gutting it out this week in preperation for the newer parts.

I also Scored a Very nice bed and tail gate from a truck At LKQ. It has a few minor dings on the out side but the inside of the bed is near perfect.

Looks like a good start. I've always loved those trucks.
 
if for some reason you dont use that seat or console lmk, i hate my buckets in my mj, i am glad to see these awesome trucks coming out of the woodwork. good luck on the build! :huggy:
 
Where does everyone keep finding these Commanches?! I was looking HARD for one when I bought my XJ back in the summer, and there were none to be found. Now they're everywhere!
 
I'm getting ready to start yet another Comanche build thread on the board soon.....I'm sure everyone will be excited to see another one. Pictures are taken, I'm just too lazy to post them and do a write up...........good luck on your build.
 
Well I went and pick up my Parts Jeep that will supply me most of the parts I need to build my MJ.

The Cherokee is a 98 limited with leather and power driver seat, Cruise, ABS NP242 2wd,4wd-h, 4wd Full time and 4lo. It has a HP D30 in the front and a D35 in the rear.

the prevouse owner had all of the maintenence done at the dealer and with 140k on it, the engine looks and runs like a 50k motor .

So I got a few things to finish on some other projects and then I am going to get working on it again
