1990 Jeep XJ

So i just sold a 1990 cherokee with 4 inches of lift and 33x15.50's. I bought the jeep just months before fer like 900 bucks. Well this last weekend i sold it for $500 along with another xj(98' model) that had been flipped but had a good motor and tranny. Im ur typical jeep guy so, 2 cherokees fer 500 bucks sure id jump all on it. But the guy who bought it is now complaining that the starter went bad and so did a few other odds and ends. Call me stupid but he got well over 500 dollars in parts that are on the second cherokee, do people really not understand that wut ur gettin fer 500 bucks is just that, a 500 dollar ride?
 
did you sell the '90 with some sort of warranty?

if there's only onw rule that holds in the old, used car market, it;s that any vehcile hwich moves under it's own power is worth $500. And, if it's summer and it has AC, the value doubles, lol.

Hell, that's nearly what's you'd get for just recycling two cars. Dude needs to suck it up.
 
yea i dont get this either. a few years ago i sold a jeep for 500 bucks. before i sold it i'd have people ask if it was very dependable and if it has cold a/c etc etc. ITS A $500 VEHICLE! WHAT DO YOU THINK!? if you are looking for an awesome daily driver go spend ten thousand dollars asshole, not 500!
 
Used is used, you never ever know what may happen next. Same goes with new, stuff breaks down. If I believe it to be very dependable, I might say I'd drive it to California, I wouldn't say I Guarantee it to make it there!
 
I would tell him to take the starter off the parts Jeep, that's what it was for!
The parts Jeep, it wasn't Chili pepper red was it?
 
Someone was expecting a lot for $500. Remind me who it is so I don't try to sell them anything for $500.
 
tell that cat to hold his mouth to the left a little and shove his right thumb up his A$$ and it should start right up!!!
 
Just tell him your name isn't carmax and if he doesn't like it he can recycle the jeeps for more than he paid for them and start over. I had a v8 gc listed for a lil over 1000 and people would bitch about anything under the sun.
