1990 YJ front axle Question

I am not a Jeep guy so I dont have any answers.
What has to be done to put a one piece TJ shaft in the Dana 30 on my uncles YJ, to get rid of that vacume dissconnect crap?

The cheap way out would be to open up the vacuum disconnect and install some springs to hold the splined collar over both shafts.

pretty sure you just pull the disconnect crap out, make a plate to cover it up, and slide the new shaft in.

there has to be a seal in there somewhere so you might have to pull the carrier.
