OK...can't sell it so I'm going to have some fun. I just took the fender chrome trim off and the grill off. I think I'll repaint it...any color suggestions?

Is it a big deal to put F250 leafs in the rear?

I didn't think of that...front is a deep blue...so Orange would look good...

anyone else?

And here I was thinking spray chrome paint, glossy black, or battleship gray...
 
i dont see why 250 leafs would work, more heavy duty!

Yeah i like the orange, like the candy tangerine if you want to church it up!

Post a pic of it, i want to see what it looks like i forget.

You have been trying to sell that truck for so long and get some other vehicle for so long, I feel sorry for you.

Here's an idea for you...Donate it to your church or some other non-profit and take the tax write-off. Or make it fun...Setup a fundraiser for the church or charity. Charge people $10 to take a swing at it with a sledgehammer.

Anyway, if you're going to keep it, I think orange would be cool. Maybe do some flames to make it go faster.

The only problem is, they recently changed the tax laws on this.
If you donate a vehicle, you can only write off the amount that the chairity *actually gets* for it, WHEN they resell it, not the alleged "street value" or NADA like you used to be able to.
So you really won't make any money that way either, esp since "tax writeoff" really only means you're saving, what, 27% of the amount off of your taxes (not like you GET the whole amount back). So it's only a couple hundred bucks at most.

Uncle Sam finally figured out they were getting screwed, b/c folsk would take an old truck w/ a real street value of about $400, donate it to a church, and claim a $2k deduction (so they'd be out $500). Now they only lose the actual $100 fro myour income...
 
True on the tax law thing. But it would help out a church or charity. I'd pay $10 to swing a sledgehammer at a vehicle for a good cause!!

What about it Andrew...So far you have $25 pledged if you'll let us swing a sledgehammer at it. Take it somewhere near a bunch of drunks and you'll make good money!!!
 
lol...dont listen to them Andrew...as much as im sick of hearing about this truck or the one that could possibly replace (all 30 of them) and as much as i wanna swing a large hammer at it!

Sell the bed, use that money to buy a C6. Cage the rear, Trim the front fenders, throw some 33-35s on it and wheel the hell out of it.


Get a taurus wagon or some other gas sipper 4 door for a family car. they are cheap and can be found for under a grand.

lol..who cares about the color......paint is just a lubricant to help you slide accross the rocks.
 
Lol, dont get your feelings hurt. i like the truck. i am a fan of fullsize fords (bronco is my fav. model). Just wish you would do something already and quit talking about it! lol, not flaming your or anything, just make up your mind already =P if i were you i'd keep it. doesnt sheep already have a cool truck?
 
The grill does look good.


haha i guess i have a cool truck, but i just lost my dd and my truck isn't registered in NC and isn't the most comfy to drive all the time...
 
I'm zeroed in about 90% on what I want but I think sheepaleep wanted to trade...not buy..

I found what appears to be a great 89 4runner...was going to look at it tomorrow, but if I'm not selling...no point unless I can convince a swap...
