My rocky is having probelms and i need help. After it gets warm it likes to spit and sputter goin down the road and then it blows out a cloud of black smoke from the tail pipe. and some times it dont like to crank. I blocked the EGR valve and put a new fuel filter but it is still runnin rough.
 
cant help you out.....but had to say that I had a 91 rocky...red and silver with a hardtop....great little trucks.

I lifted mine and ran 31's on it till I went to WCU....it couldnt take the mountains and popped a hose and cracked the block....so I bought a ford ranger....ive missed that rocky.

Ive tried finding another one just to play around on, but they are hard to find.

My grand Cherokee was doing that in which I got a carbon flush done for around sixy bucks. It cleaned it out real well and ran great!
 
yea this truck is red with a white hard top. it climbs the hills in my backyard great. thx anyways.
 
Would the seafoam trick work to clear out some carbon? I did it once on another jeep I owned....it helped a bit with a "hic-up" I was having right after startup.

I have two rocky's, one that I use on a regular basis the other that I have in storage and am looking to sell. The transfer case is cracked and the bumper is messed up, but it runs. Let me know if your are interested.
