A guy on base has a 1998 Cherokee for sale for $200. This joker looks like it just came off the assembly line (not really, but it looks better than 90% of the Cherokees I've seen).
It's bone stock.
The owner says he took it to the shop on base and the mechanic said it needs an oil pump. Any easy way for me to check if it's the oil pump or the sending unit?
I should mention that it's been sitting on base in the same spot for months. There are no leaks. With a jump (not even revving the engine of the other vehicle) it cranked right up. It does have a slight ticking, but nothing insane.
