Hey ya'll, I am having an issue with the a/c, Specifically the front A/C. It has 2 controls but 1 compressor and condenser. The back blows cold and the front blows cool to Luke warm. Any suggestions as to what to look for?

Blend door problem or Heater control valve stuck open. Clamp off heater hoses and see if temp drops.

Blend door problem is most likely, but I've seen low refrigerant cause this too. The front uses an orifice tube the rear unit uses an expansion valve. Expansion valves are more forgiving to low charges because they adjust the orifice size based on the temps, the fixed orifice tube up front can't adjust. Usually the compressor will short cycle though.

Switch the front temp to full hot then full cold and see if temp changes, also listen for the pitch of the airflow sound to change as the door moves with the blower on high. If the door actuator is bad it won't change.

Ok, I turned the blower on wide open and listened for a change in pitch, there was one but it wasn't as pronounced as I thought it should be. I can change the temp and it moves accordingly but the vehicle was cold so my water temp wasn't up enough to make it too hot. Where should I clamp off the heater hose? I have noticed that it is less cool as I drive it. Where is the heater control valve located? Thanks for your help!
