AFAIK, you can't. That function isn't in the valvebody, and there are no clutches in the torque converter itself...

That's correct... you *can* swap in a 47/48 Rx & swap to a 2nd gen flexplate to gain a lockup convertor...

I posted this before, but my '93 ('92 born on date) has the A518 w/o lockup, but according to McMopar, it has all the curcuitry and milling for the lockup on the valvebody... just no way to make it happen

i will just burn mine up then do the swap. i bought a new rad. and aux. tranny cooler. hopfully that should help with keeping thing cool.
