My wife tells me there are a couple of regulars that come in for lunch and ask her about the NC4x4 sticker on the back of our jeep. Just curious if i know who it is.

if not, hi.

They might not speak up about hitting on your wife....:D
Thats kind of what I took off this post haha. "Hey assholes, thats my wife" :p

Yeah, she's worked there since last july. I think it has the best burgers downtown. And the hickory smoked pimento cheese is awesome too. The owners also own and produce Red Clay Gourmet pimento cheese.

Your definition of downtown is quite loose. :D

I don't believe I've ever ordered a burger there. Ill have to remember that.

We run a facebook page, camel city nightlife, where we keep track of all the bar specials and events downtown. First Street and Carlisle's are the only two that get coverage outside of the popular definition of "downtown".

There is no official definition of downtown, well...there are LOTS of definitions and borders, but none thats held above all others. The city has adopted I40 and Hwy 52 has hard borders on the south and east sides, but the northern and western borders are moved as it fits the needs of the project.

Ive seen city program maps that stretch downtown all the way to stratford road. Our cut off is generally hawthorn.

I'd agree. My definition is skewed by where I live. If I had to define it, I would put the western border of downtown on Broad street, but it wouldn't take much convincing to move that out to W 4th where you could just about wee on the Draught House depending on how much time you'd spent there that night.

Too bad I don't use Facebook; that kind of page would be something I'd frequent.

well, your definition would follow the central business definition then

try out that link. we just went live with the website. It's not the best it can be but we are working on it. We have done what we can with the budget we had. Still not happy about a few things , but we'll make it more efficient as money allows. Facebook version works much better but if you dont frequent there much this might work. We have a live feed from the facebook page that will give you a glimpse of what we do.
