can i get more power out of my jeep wrangler 2.5 it is geared 345 i think not sure but it dose fine till i start to climb

NO! I have tried every conceivable method and contraption known to the aftermarket industry on my 2.5L short of a supercharger ($3000). The best thing I did is an inertia ring, which is like a flywheel weight to create more spinning mass which helps with crawling. Forget electric fans, larger throttle bodies, air induction units, ect. The ONLY thing that will really help is lower gearing in your diffs, transmission or transfer case.

Do you have an auto or 5 spd? The only reason I ask is cause you get 4.10's with the 5 spd. But like CYJ said, the best the to do is to regear the axles, tranny, tcase if you want more oomph out of your 2.5L. I've got an inertia ring that I'm going to install as well. From what I've read, it definitely helps.

x2 but the rest of the crap really makes my hamster squeel. :wheel:

Unless it is new if you try to do too much to the 4 banger you will probably look back and see that you could have put in an I6 for less money and had more power/torque. Motor swap may not be the easiest fix but if it is a little older and you plan to have it for a long time it may be something to consider.

According to your profile you are essentially running stock tires in an 03. Is your Jeep really that slow? Also I thought all of the 2.5s came with 4.10s. I may be wrong, but you should have plenty of power with that setup. I am assuming you have an automatic if its that bad off. I was able to push 35s for a little bit with my 5 speed and stock gears, it wasn't fun, but it worked. If you want to see any power out of a 4 cyl you really need to regear. An additional 10-15 horsepower really won't be that noticeable with the aerodynamics of a Jeep, and it will cost you a lot of money to get that much. You don't seem to have too much money into your Jeep at this point, if it's too slow just sell it and get one with a 4.0 and start over. Sounds harsh, but it may be the cheapest way to go.
