Guys,

I just changed out my whole rear axle assembly from a factory 2.73 AMC 20 to a factory 4.10 unit. I'm getting a driveline vibration above 55 mph now. Any ideas? Both axles are factory pieces and are unmolested so that should rule out the possibility of the gears not being set up properly. Could it be that my driveshaft is out of balance and I just didn't feel it with the 2.73s? It is definitely spinning alot faster now. What do you experts say?

Drive shaft in time?

Did you replace your U-joints on your drive shaft? If not that is where i would start. You can try unbolting the drive shaft and indexing it 180 degrees but the sure fix is to replace the U-joints with new ones.

I think Snappy and jds got most of it, most likely its in teh driveshaft. Also, double check the U-bolts, make sure they're tight, springs seated in the perch, etc.
