2 stage transmission jack

I just got a 2 stage transmission jack. For every pump up it goes down about 3/4 of that pump when I let off of it. I called the company that makes it and they said that's normal. I've tried to bleed air out as much as possible and same result. I hate to ship it back, but I don't think that's normal. Anyone else have experience with 2 stage transmission jacks?

Mine doesnt do that. It does seem "bouncier" with a load on it than other jack i have used, but it stays up after you quit pumping it. I cant recall the brand now however.
