any of u know much on these? I have 2 kenwood nx 200 k-2 if im not mistaken. looked under the battery and thats whats under there. each radio has an xtra battery and the optional belt clip and mic. makes them look what i have seen most law enforcement and firemen wearing. everything is brand new. i opened the box to look at only. whats these worth? what all could b used for?
I shouldve done this before trading for them, but thats the way it goes sometimes. lol

Just guessing $200-400 a piece? My Dept gets the kenwood tk series, they are normally around the $360 mark. Best I remember the ones u have either has gps in it or it can be programmed.

just radio or with accessories? seems i saw the external mics being over a 100

Just radios. I just ordered some new ones for my Dept. The kenwood mics are expensive, we use aftermarket mics, cheaper and work better.

Are you looking to keep them and use them, or to sell them? Those are Kenwood NEXEDGE digital capable radios. Meaning, they are capable of talking to normal analog radios or to other Kenwood digital radios. For off road purposes there probably isn't a lot of advantage to digital over analog. Actually I'm a big fan of digital radio, but being a Motorola guy I really can't tell you much about the Kenwood product. I can tell you that these are not like the cheap FRS radios that you see sold all over. They are certainly of much better quality than those radios, they transmit at a much higher power and will have better range. The down side is they are almost certainly not ready to use straight out of the box. In order to be usable they will need to be programmed by someone with the Kenwood NEXEDGE software and a programming cable. Before you can do that you will need to know at a minimum what frequencies you want to talk on.

Those do seem to be discountinued items .... FWIW.
The software is expensive, unless you get it free with the purchase of a 20 buck cable (?).
But then again, the software that comes with those cable are notoriously buggy, and it's hit miss if it actually works.

They do seem to be good radios and I actually like the looks. Commercial grade is a bonus.
Just do some research if you use them. Some frequencies that those radios will cover are restricted to licensed use of one sort or another.

and I'm calling dibs if you wanna get rid of them!

well im trying to figure out what to do with them. when I was considering taking these on trade, was thinking at worst case scenario I could use these wheeling. especially when taking out a newbie that doesnt have a cb in their jeep. i tried to look these up on the great wide web. was looking up the wrong model because he thought they were the 300s. did learn their sorta like a cell phone. everything is under the battery...... DUMMY guess i shouldve thought of that. Each radio is brand new in the box. only opened for me to check them out. each is set up with a kenwood external mic. and have an extra kenwood battery. along with a different clip. anything that was swapped or taken off to put the extras on is in the box. So I traded for thes 6 to 8 months ago. and seems I may have buried myself in these and may have to use them to feel like i didnt lose my ass. but if interested shoot me some offers, never hurts to ask

Well, sitting here looking around the radio room, I can see 4 similar radios. And have at least 2 more somewhere else.
I'm releasing the dibcall.

I'd like to have them, but with daughter #2 in college .......

One problem you will have is LEGAL use. They do not cover the GMRS or FRS frequency ranges ( as far as I can tell).
The ham radio frequencies fall in the center of the radios range, and the available space above and below ham radio is also regulated by the FCC. Aviation is above and licensed business and LEO is below (IIRC).
