2000 Grand Cherokee Ltd. is a turd

Well, the wife takes off this morning and she said the ABS light came on immediately. Then she said the speedometer quit working. She says the tach still works but the other two crapped out. What causes this? It's a 4.0 btw.

My google-fu has lead me to the BCM (Body Control Module) or the VSS (Speed Sensor). Yay or nay?

vss, most likely. if the vss loses signal the speedo won't operate and the abs has no idea what to do because it doesn't know vehicle speed.

If it makes you feel better, I screwed up my abs on my 00 GC Limited while wheeling this weekend. I may or may not fix it, I think I just pinched a wire.

this is just a long line of problems as of late. I need to get rid of it but I continue to fix it as they come up.
