Im buyin a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited im gonna put a little lift on it maybe 4-6 inches i aint gonna be takin it wheelin any just showin it off some and leavin it for my woman when i leave for the navy in january. Any ideas for what lift to get or any other style things i can do to make it bad a.. its my first jeep so i dont really know anything about them

Any reputable lift manuafacturer will be fine. Check out NAGCA.com

As for height, lifting a WJ (which is what you have) more than 3-4 inches is more invloved than your usual framed vehicles. My advice is to put a budget boost of about 2" on it and settle with some 31" tall tires. Ultimately it comes down to what size tire you want, and how much money you want to spend.

Grands are unibody, so there is no "frame" and they are coil sprung, so no leaf packs. They are also four linked, so the higher the lift the more of an angle the control arms which means rougher ride. I love my ZJ, but there are just some differences between it and your usual CJ/YJ/TJ/XJ and of course yotas and full size rigs.

ok i understand now do you think i should pass on this wj and get a different jeep i have alot of options just not sure which path to choose

Not only rougher ride but 4+ inches will almost 100% of the time result in some pretty bad Death Wobble... I would not put my wife in one to drive that large w/o it being Long Armed...

Here's my old 01 w/ some 265x75x16 BFG AT's w/ new OEM Up Country springs and 2" Budget Boost (approx. 3" lift)... Never had any death wobble w/ it like this.

If you want a vehicle with 6 or more inches of lift and still be a daily driver, I would skip the WJ

There are a ton of rigs on here for sale, check out the for sale section
