I am putting frame stiffeners on my XJ. I've read where you will need to used longer bolts. No problem right? Well my XJ has one stud and one bolt. Is there a secret to getting rid of the stud? Inquiring minds want to know.

How thick are your stiffeners? I have stiffeners and 1/4” plate at the crossmember and it still works.
