It's not a truck, but at least it's AWD:driver::

I've finally got my car to where I want it for my daily driver. I bought it around the first of the year then started hiking the AT in March. I decided it was time to stop for this hike after completing right under 900 miles. I wanted to come home and build my car to where I wanted it, finish school, and then attemp a thru hike again at a later date (a thru hike is from GA to ME which is 2,200 miles). With that said, I sold my bike to finish the car. In the last month I've installed an AMR CXR500 20g turbo, Deatchwerks 850cc injectors, TurboXS FMIC, Grimmspeed EBCS, D2 Racing coilovers, 18x9 +35 Rota G Force Wheels, 255/35R18 tires, 05 STi taillights, blackhousing headlights, and a few other little things. It's no show car but I like it a lot. It's my first Subaru, and first car I've owned. I've owned all diesel trucks until this point and it's a great daily driver. It has 85,000 miles on it with a full STi swap interior. It is getting dyno tuned next week by Dale at Boxer4Racing so we'll see what the car puts down for numbers. I don't need anything super fast; just realiable.

The car when I bought it (before I did anything to it):
It had the following parts then:
- IHI VF34 turbo
- Walbro 255
- 3" Turbo back exhaust with up-pipe
- Cobb tuner (VF34 map)
- 10lb Braille Battery
- Ver. 4 STI RA Transmission and rear end. It is from a 1995-1996 Japanese market Impreza STi RA. The transmission has been fully built by AndrewTech and it's a 4.44 final drive. It has full AWD LSD. The center differential split is 30/70.
- Full Group-N polyurethane engine and transmission mounts, sub frame mounts, and Kartboy lockdown bolts.
- Carbonetic Clutch
- Drive Shaft Shop one piece aluminum drive shaft
- Omari Gauges

The car how it currently sits (pictures were taken today really quick before my brother heads back to school. He attends SCAD in Savannah, GA and is a much better photographer then I am with my cheap camera).

love the stance - did the trans ratios change as well with the swap? what does it run @ the strip?

Thanks! I've never run the car. That was the guy who had it before me. He was the original owner and had a bunch of 4cyl cars. The tires/wheels definitely changed the ratio a bit as at 80mph it runs 3,400 rpms instead of 3,700 rpms with the old set up. It does have the STi JDM transmission as well as rear end so it was a 4.44 before I installed everything. I would like to know what the ratio equals out to be now.

Below is the link to my brother's website. He's a film student and is all about everything to do with the aspect of film and photography. He lives in Savannah, GA most of the year. If anyone close to the area would like him to shoot their car (especially Subaru's) I'm sure he would be more than willing to do so for minimal costs.

As stated above, I hiked a great section of the AT this year (I stopped less than 150 miles short of the halfway point in Harpers Ferry, WV) and this is the quick slide show he put together of the hike if anyone is interested. I give him props on his work as I couldn't do half the stuff he does.

that thing looks great!!....looked at one set up somewhat how yours is now before i got my truck, wanted that car bad but realized i needed a truck more than i needed a fast car haha....thats a sick place to take some pictures too, the background looks awesome in all of them, and using the reflection in the water puddle

Thanks man. I bought it to have as a DD while I finish school. I'll definitely be getting another truck when I get done. I wish I could have both, but that is certainly not realistic right now.

yeah im about to be in some what of the same situation in a way....gonna sell my truck so i can finish out my school since ill be done with my apprentiship soon and want to finish out to get an engineering degree....so the lifted trucks gonna go and get something that can still pull my trail rig but not have to make payments on haha

Dale at Boxer4Racing put the car on the dyno and tuned it on Wednesday. It started out around 284hp @ 247tq. The best pull of the day was 291hp @ 259tq with 19psi. Dale said he could get a little more out of the car, but I bought this car to be a daily driver and numbers don't mean much to me so we stopped there. I felt it was a safe place to stop as I have a stock 2.0 block and definitely don't want more boost being added. I like the current setup a lot better than the old setup with the vf34 and pinks. It's not a race car, nothing too fast, just what I needed and wanted it to be.

Here are some bad cell phone pics I took while Dale had it on the dyno:
