school me on these. Wife just picked up an 05 grand cherokee while I was on deployment. She's wanting to give it some attitude. small lift and 33's and some other small upgrades. whats the best way to go about this? what brand of lift should we get stuff like that?

Nobody has any input on this?

I don't know about an 05, but my 00 WJ barely fits 33's with a 4.5" lift, cut fenders and cut front bumper.

There is a member on here by the name of stroked wj, about one of the only modified ones I know of ( and 13 bullets), Id shoot him a pm. They do look pretty sweet though.

I have an 05 WK and have offroaded it in URE. The jeepforum link is a good place to start. Also another is theultimatejeep dot com. THe XK and the WK are the same platform so modifications are pretty much the same.

If you are looking to get one, get the V8 with low range. It'll be worth it and you won't get any worse gas mileage.

thanks for the input guys its helpful. how much lift would I need for 33's without cutting fenders? around 6 inches?

Search for OME lift for a WK. It'll be advertised as a 2" lift but it really nets you 3"+.

If you don't want to trim fenders, stick with the stock wheels and try to keep the tires as narrow as you can. The wider you go (whether wide tires or wheel spacers) the tire will contact the front fender wheel on the pinch weld and on the rear fender, pretty much the whole thing, lol.

Just do some google searches with your questions. Most of these questions have been answered in different forums.

We do a lot of these for daily drivers ... We use a Rough country spacer kit and then stock JK rubi wheels and tires... If u interested I can do the whole package above for $1650 and I have stock JK wheels and new BFG tires in stock.

when i had mine i was running the rock krawler 3.5 lift and 265 ssr swampers along with spider trax wheel spacers and bilestin shocks and i loved it.. hate i got rid of it
