I purchased my first Jeep about 3 years ago. Every time I do something on it, I think, "I should have started a build thread somewhere." Well, I'm finally doing it.

The vehicle is mostly used for camping and wheeling in Uwharrie. This year though we traveled to Windrock TN and the Hatfield McCoy trails in WV. I like a vehicle I can drive on the trails and then drive back home. It's my daily driver.

Current state:
  • 2005 I6 Wrangler (LJ)
  • 13x,000 miles
  • Replaced the transmission (NSG370) about 5 thousand miles ago (reverse was going out)
  • 3" suspension lift and 1" body lift for a tummy-tuck.
  • D44 rear and D30 front
  • NP231 transfer case and stock gears (3.73?)
  • 33" tires (General Grabber)

We went to Uwharrie for the opening weekend. Had a group of friends come down from Michigan my brother also joined us for his first wheeling trip. He's a professional photographer and shot video for us (it's always great to have someone like that around!).

Checkout his masterpiece:

I narrowly avoided disaster when I was checking under the vehicle and noticed that the driver's LCA nut seemed odd. I reached down and it was finger tight and working its way off  Needless to say I cranked it back down with some loctite this time.
